Clinton is taken off death row
On October 29, 2021 Clinton was finally taken off of death row. Clinton has spent 18 years, 6 months, and 15 days on death row for two murders he did not commit.
On September 22, 2021 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals vacated Clinton’s entire conviction and death sentence because of gross prosecutorial misconduct. The CCA concluded that Clinton did not receive a fair trial.
Clinton was transported back to the Midland County Jail to await his new trial. We don’t know yet when Clinton’s new trial will take place.
